Dr. John Maloney graduated with a bachelor’s in health education from Ithaca College and received his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. He has been serving patients in the Westchester County and Harrison, NY area for over six years. Dr. Maloney was inspired to become a chiropractor after shadowing multiple different professions in the medical field and realized the large degree in which Chiropractic care and treatment can help patients. He has always been active and saw firsthand how chiropractic care helped him to not only feel better overall but also put his body in a better place to perform any physical activity he may be doing. Also dealing with a history of sports related injuries there is nothing that helped him bounce back faster than Chiropractic care.
When he started working with patients’ years ago, he fell in love with the shock people would have when they began to feel better from Chiropractic care. This is an interesting profession because to this day, he still gets patients that almost need to be convinced to try a Chiropractor out. When patients who initially doubt Chiropractic Care buy in after feeling better, this is a great feeling. It allows them to then have more control over their own health. Dr. Maloney lives by the moto, “Movement is Key”. He is passionate about staying active and is also a huge advocate for incorporating proper nutrition into his treatment methods. Growing up, he played numerous sports but focused mostly on football and Rugby. Chiropractic played a huge roll in his success as an athlete and now in his everyday life.
Dr. Maloney trained in many different soft tissue modalities, rehab protocols, and many joint adjustment techniques. He prides himself in being a chiropractor that address the entire body including soft tissue not just the “joints”. A few licenses he attained are NIMMO, Graston-Technique, Cupping, Decompression or Flexion-Distraction Technique, IMJT, and Active Release Technique. He specializes in treating lower back disc or musculature issues, hip issues, neck issues, as well as shoulder and ankle, using multiple techniques depending on the patient’s condition. LifeClinic has been a great place to practice due to the huge amount of professional resources at our fingertips. It is great working with so many health and fitness professionals and it also allows us to optimize our patient’s permanence and recovery as well.
